ESA/SNC GUIDELINES
FOR SUCCESSFUL DISTRICT COMPETITION & TEAMWORK

1.  Do Not Enter the Administration Tent Area.  Only the Director or Designees, Tabulators & Head Judge are permitted in this area.

2. All surfers will be expected to check the bulletin board for their heat information and heat times.  Schedule changes will be announced and noted on the bulletin board.  Every effort will be made to minimize any change to the schedule, but changes are possible and sometimes inevitable, so please pay attention and use the schedule already provided for you instead of inquiring.

3.  The deadline for contest entries will be the Wednesday before each
Contest at 6:00pm
.  All late entries will
be handled as beach entries.  Drop-off locations are identified on entry, however deadline also applies to drop-off locations.

4.  BEACH ENTRIES WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 7:00 - 8:00AM, EACH MORNING, AS
AVAILABLE SLOTS PERMIT, FOR AN ADDITIONAL LATE FEE OF $10.00
, with the
exception of new members, if available slots exist.  Please do not burden the administration by asking for
special favors.  This is final!

5. Refunds may be given to those individuals who cannot attend the contest for personal reasons, (such as sickness & family emergencies) BY NOTIFYING THE DIRECTOR or DESIGNEE, NO LATER THAN THE
NIGHT BEFORE THE SCHEDULED HEAT
.  NO NOTIFICATION - NO REFUND!  This will allow
administration to accept beach entries for that available slot.

6. "Red-flagging" will not be granted for board-swapping between heats.     These issues must be worked out individually.

7. Memberships are counted on January 1st of each year.  Regional slots are given to each district based upon that membership count.  All memberships must be renewed and active on this date to be considered for a Regional slot.  No active membership on that date - no slot!   It's your responsibility to renew.

8. All ESA members, while attending ESA Contests are required to abide by all State & Local Laws, in addition to Town Ordinances associated with private property issues, parking/no parking issues and environmental issues which include,    but are not limited to littering and dune protection.

9. All competitors are required to check in for their colors before the yellow flag (5-minute warning).  Those surfers not reporting by the 5 minute warning will lose their slots to the first paid alternate in waiting.  No refunds!

10. Every effort should be made to prevent judging and/or tabulating of family members.  Advance notice must be given to the Head Judge or the Director - Director Designee in the absence of the Head judge, for prior approval.
